Getting Started
Eclipse Gate adds the Moonlit Hollow, a dimension of endless night under a full moon, with its own biomes, creatures, villagers, a ruined castle town with a Stargate, and a boss. It runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Forge and needs Just Stargate Mod and its JSG: Rings and Transporters addon.
| Mod | Needed? | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Minecraft 1.20.1 + Forge 47.4.0 or newer | Required | The game and mod loader |
| Just Stargate Mod (JSG) 5.1 or newer | Required | The working Stargate at Castle Nocturne |
| JSG: Rings and Transporters | Required | Transport rings at every Moon Shrine, leading to a hidden lab |
| Just Enough Items (JEI) | Optional | Every recipe, plus info pages for the portal, ores, gear, altar and Eclipse Heart |
| Tinkers' Construct | Optional | Lunarite as a tool and armor material |
| Configured | Optional | An in-game editor for every Eclipse Gate setting |
Install
- Install Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1 (47.4.0 or newer).
- Put Eclipse Gate, Just Stargate Mod and JSG: Rings and Transporters in your
modsfolder, plus any optional mods you want. - Launch the game and create a new world, or load an existing one. The Hollow and its structures generate in chunks you haven't visited yet.
- On a server, install the same mods on the server and on every player's game.
Everything in the mod is free to play. No feature is locked behind a purchase or a supporter tier.
