Reaching the Moonlit Hollow

You enter the Hollow through a Moonstone Brick frame lit with a Moon Shard, built exactly like a Nether portal.

Build the portal

1. Craft Moonstone Bricks: 8 Stone Bricks around 1 Amethyst Shard makes 8 bricks.
2. Craft a Moon Shard (shapeless): Amethyst Shard + Ender Pearl + Glowstone Dust. One shard has 16 uses.
3. Build a frame of Moonstone Bricks shaped like a Nether portal: at least 4 wide and 5 tall, up to 23 by 23. Corners are optional.
4. Right-click the inside of the frame with the Moon Shard.
5. Stand in the portal for 4 seconds (instant in Creative).

Coordinates are 1:1 with the Overworld. If there is no portal within 64 blocks of where you arrive, a return portal is built for you on a small platform, always on the surface. Break any frame block to close a portal.

Ruined Hollow Portals

Broken Moonstone Brick frames appear across the Overworld in forests, plains, taiga, jungle, savanna, hills, badlands, desert, snow and swamps. The chest beside each one holds a Moon Shard and enough Moonstone Bricks to repair the frame. With Just Stargate Mod installed, it also holds a notebook page with the Hollow's Stargate address.

To find one, buy a Ruined Portal Map from a Cartographer villager, or use /locate structure eclipsegate:ruined_hollow_portal.

By Stargate

The Hollow's Stargate address is the same in every world. Dial it from any JSG gate to arrive at the gate in the center of Castle Nocturne. The ruined portal notebook page carries it too.

To get home, the chest beside Castle Nocturne's gate holds a notebook page with the Overworld's address.
