Alien Evolution

Alien Evolution is the heart of Chevron Ten. Your watch lets you transform into a roster of alien forms, each with its own powers. This page walks you through the Alien Evolution quest chapter from getting your watch to mastering ten forms.

Step 1: Get your watch
Quest: It's Hero Time → Strap It On
- Open JEI and click the AlienEvo mod filter, or search
@alienevo, to see every item the mod adds. - Find the watch and press R on it to see how to get it.
- Put it on. If it doesn't go in a normal slot, check the Curios slots on the side of your inventory screen.
Tip: The watch keys are listed under Options → Controls. Search "Alien" or "Omni" to find them, and move any that clash with other mods.
Step 2: Your first transformation
Quest: First Transformation
- Use your watch key to open the alien selection.
- Pick a form and transform.
- Test it somewhere safe first. Every form moves, fights and sometimes changes size differently. Learn its powers before you go caving.
- Transform back when you're done. Keep an eye on any timer or recharge the watch shows.
Step 3: Build your roster
Quests: New DNA → Curate the Roster
- Unlock new forms. Look at each form's entry in JEI and the mod's in-game info to see how it's unlocked.
- Set up a playlist with the Playlist Manager. Put your favorite forms on quick select so you're not scrolling mid-fight.
- Move DNA between watches with the same addon if you switch watches or want to share forms with a teammate.
Step 4: Try the addon forms
These quests are optional. Each one asks you to transform into a specific alien from the addons.

Step 5: Gear up as a Plumber

Craft something from Plumber Accessories and wear it. Search @plumber in JEI to see everything it adds.
Step 6: Master of Forms
Quest: Master of Forms (finale)
Unlock and use 10 different alien forms. The reward is 1,000 XP and 2 Golden Apples.
Tips for using forms
- Match the form to the job. Some forms are better for fighting, others for getting around. Try each one before you need it.
- Combine forms with your tech. Forms work well alongside Create contraptions, Mekanism tools and Ad Astra space suits. Experiment.
- Watch for size changes. Pehkui changes your size in some forms. A huge form may not fit through doors or into a Stargate room.
